Soccer Recap: Waunakee Takes Down Ranked Onalaska

Waunakee faced Onalaska in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Warriors never let the Hilltoppers get on the board and left with a 4-0 victory. While Waunakee didn't have the best season last year (they finished 3-10-4), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

The win (which was Waunakee's fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 19 goals over those four games. As for Onalaska, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2-1.

Looking ahead, Waunakee will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against Oregon at 7:00 p.m. As for Onalaska, they will venture away from home to take on Sparta at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
