Basketball Recap: Calais Falls to Penobscot Valley in First Game of Season

Calais had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They were just a bucket shy of victory on Thursday and fell 52-51 to the Penobscot Valley Howlers. The Blue Devils were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Howlers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February.

Calais and Penobscot Valley will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Blue Devils are set to challenge their familiar foe Mattanawcook at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Penobscot Valley will take on rival Stearns at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
