Baseball Recap: Trinity Drops Season-High Score on Crockett

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Trinity). They walked away with an 11-8 victory over the Crockett Bulldogs on Tuesday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Tigers needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

Hunter Ogden made a splash while hitting and pitching. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Ogden was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Those three runs gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Christian Vaughn was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Canyen Hollis was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.

Trinity's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-17. As for Crockett, their loss was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-11.

Trinity will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Bulldogs: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
