Volleyball Recap: North Duplin Has No Trouble Against Lakewood + How To Watch

North Duplin won the last time they faced Lakewood and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Rebels were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Leopards. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Rebels.

One reason for the win was North Duplin's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-14, 25-12.

North Duplin found their leader in sophomore Carrly Strickland, who had five aces and four digs. Those five aces set a new season-high mark for Strickland. Yesenia Gomez Maldonado also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

North Duplin was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 17 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in five consecutive games.

North Duplin's win bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Lakewood, their defeat was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-8.
