Football Recap: Resurrection Victorious

The third road match was the charm for Resurrection, as they earned their first away victory of the season. They won a contest that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by the Palatine Pirates 7-6.

Resurrection didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Abby Acierno and Isabel Mendoza. Mendoza also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with six. Acierno got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

The win got Resurrection back to even at 4-4. As for Palatine, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.

Resurrection has already played their next game, a 40-8 defeat against New Trier on the 8th. As for Palatine, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 16-12 loss against Barrington on the 8th.
