If Northwood Academy was feeling good fresh off their 70-44 takedown of Palmetto Christian Academy last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Northwood Academy Chargers took a 62-43 bruising from the Ashley Ridge Swamp Foxes on Monday. The Chargers' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Ashley Ridge had a senior duo take command as Katie Johnson posted 20 points and Skyla Tuthill had 16 points and five assists. Tuthill's evening made it nine games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jameson Foley, who put up ten points.

Northwood Academy's loss ended an 11-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-4. As for Ashley Ridge, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-1.

Northwood Academy will host Oceanside Collegiate Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Oceanside Collegiate Academy will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Northwood Academy surely won't give up without a fight. As for Ashley Ridge, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 58-22 victory against Woodland on the 18th.
