Softball Recap: Seminole Seminoles vs. Lake Mary Rams
Seminole won against Mount Dora Christian Academy last Monday with eight runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Wednesday. The Seminole Seminoles sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-6 win over the Lake Mary Rams. The victory was nothing new for Seminole as they're now sitting on four straight.
Anne Long was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out 14 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and four unearned) runs off 11 hits (and only one walk). Long has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't pitched less than six innings in three consecutive pitching appearances. Long was also big at the plate, going 3-for-3 with a home run.
In other batting news, Seminole got a big performance out of Olivia Burkshire, who scored two runs while going 1-for-4. Another player making a difference was Addison Poe, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Seminole has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. As for Lake Mary, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-12.
Seminole will be playing at home against Lyman at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
