Orosi has gone 9-1 against Granite Hills recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Cardinals will challenge the Grizzlies at 7:15 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Orosi will bounce into Thursday's game after beating Strathmore, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Cardinals strolled past the Spartans with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 40-24. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

It was another big night for Jason De La Cruz, who rushed for 260 yards and three TDs while picking up 9.6 yards per carry. He was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 50 yards.

De La Cruz was just one part of a punishing run game: Orosi was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 312 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Strathmore only rushed for 172.

Meanwhile, you can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Granite Hills' strategy against Farmersville on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Grizzlies blew the Aztecs out of the water with a 49-14 final score. The Grizzlies have beaten the Aztecs the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Aztecs has come to flipping the script.

Orosi's record is now 5-1. As for Granite Hills, their record now sits at 4-2.

Orosi didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Granite Hills in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, but they still walked away with a 14-8 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cardinals since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
