Basketball Recap: Dublin Snaps Five-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Dublin couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the St. Ignatius College Preparatory Wildcats by a score of 65-62 on Tuesday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (56), the Gaels still had to take the loss.

Dublin lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Cameron Anderson, who went 7-for-10 en route to 21 points and eight boards. That's the most points he has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jaiden Jones, who shot 50% from the field to rack up 19 points and five rebounds.

Dublin's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 24-8. As for St. Ignatius College Preparatory, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-8 record this season.

Dublin does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for St. Ignatius College Preparatory, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 55-52 win against Buchanan on the 6th.
