Preview: Bayshore Bruins vs. Out-of-Door Academy Thunder
Bayshore has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Out-of-Door Academy Thunder at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Florida (Bayshore is ranked 542nd, while Out-of-Door Academy is ranked 544th).
Bayshore suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a rough 81-53 loss at the hands of Bradenton Christian. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Bayshore in their matchups with Bradenton Christian: they've now lost seven in a row.
Despite their loss, Bayshore saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Antonio Romo, who scored 18 points, was perhaps the best of all. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Romo has scored all season. Another player making a difference was William Strawbridge, who scored ten points along with two steals.
Out-of-Door Academy posted their biggest victory yet this season on Tuesday. They blew past Academy at the Lakes 61-35. The win made it back-to-back wins for Out-of-Door Academy.
Bayshore bumped their record down to 5-11 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Out-of-Door Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 7-9.
Bayshore beat Out-of-Door Academy 55-42 when the teams last played back in February of 2022. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bayshore since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
