Softball Recap: Brookland's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Brookland won against Pocahontas on Thursday with nine runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. Brookland beat the South Side Hornet by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 9-2. The result was nothing new for the Bearcats, who have now won four matches by six runs or more so far this season.

The win (which was Brookland's third in a row) raised their record to 6-4. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for South Side, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-4.

Brookland has already played their next contest, an 8-1 loss against Tuckerman on the 22nd. As for South Side, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, an 8-0 win against Harrison on the 22nd.
