Softball Game Preview: Fontainebleau Bulldogs vs. Episcopal Knights

The Fontainebleau Bulldogs will head out on the road to face off against the Episcopal Knights at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

On Saturday, Fontainebleau made easy work of Woodlawn-B.R. and carried off a 12-2 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bulldogs.

The team relied heavily on Caroline Butscher, who fired off two home runs, four runs, and five RBI while going 4-for-4. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Caroline Stephens, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three doubles and two RBI.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Episcopal and Tara meet (four straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Saturday. Episcopal was the clear victor by a 25-2 margin over Tara. While the Knights didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-12), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Fontainebleau's win bumped their record up to 8-12. As for Episcopal, their victory bumped their record up to 6-2.
