Recap: Brandon vs. Northwest Rankin

Brandon came tearing into Thursday's game with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 2.8 goals) and they left with even more momentum. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Northwest Rankin 2-1. Two seems to be a good number for Brandon as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of goals in their previous game.

They were led to victory by the tag-team duo of Kamden Viverette and Jeison Ramos, who scored.

Brandon has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4-2 record this season. As for Northwest Rankin, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 17-1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brandon will take on Pearl at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Northwest Rankin, they will head out on the road to take on Meridian at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. Meridian has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 13.
