It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Fulton had no problem doing just that on Friday. They skirted past the Carson City-Crystal Eagles 4-2. For Fulton, this counts as revenge for the 4-3 defeat Carson City-Crystal walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April.

Jared Akin spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on six hits and racked up eight Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive pitching appearances.

On the hitting side, Bryson Sattler was excellent, going 1-for-3 with a triple, a run, and an RBI.

Fulton's win bumped their record up to 16-12-2. As for Carson City-Crystal, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 14-14.
