Basketball Recap: Clarke Comes Up Short

Clarke lost against Davis County back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Clarke Indians took a 75-64 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Davis County Mustangs. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (58), the Indians still had to take the loss.

Clarke has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-13 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.0 points per game. As for Davis County, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clarke will challenge Creston at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Davis County, they will welcome Albia at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Albia will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Davis County surely won't give up without a fight.
