Recap: Mercer County Titans vs. West Jessamine Colts        
        
		
            
 The Mercer County Titans won against the West Jessamine Colts  on Tuesday with 69  points and they decided to stick to that  point total again  on Wednesday. Mercer County escaped with a win against West Jessamine by the margin of a single free throw,  69-68. The  win was all the more spectacular given Mercer County's disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings  (they are ranked 87th, while West Jessamine is ranked 33rd).
 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mercer County to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Ak Drakeford, who  scored 28 points along with eight  rebounds and seven  assists. Drakeford has been hot recently, having posted 23 or more points the last four times she's  played.  Izzie Carlton was another key contributor,  almost  dropping  a double-double on 18 points and nine  rebounds.
 The  win  made it two in a row for Mercer County and  bumps their season record up to 18-13. As for West Jessamine, their loss dropped their record down to 24-8.
 Mercer County is on the road again  on Monday and plays Rockcastle County at 8:15  p.m.  on March 4th. Mercer County knows how to get  points on the board -- the  team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three contests -- so hopefully Rockcastle County likes a good challenge. West Jessamine does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
