Softball Recap: Shead Takes a Loss

Shead lost against Woodland on Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Tigers fell just short of the Dragons by a score of 9-8. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Shead's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Woodland, their victory ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-6.

Coming up, Shead will head out to challenge Calais at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers are facing the Blue Devils at the right time seeing as the Blue Devils are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Woodland, they will be playing at home against Jonesport-Beals at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Dragons' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Royals have averaged an impressive 9.6 runs per game this season.
