Soccer Recap: Portales Comes Up Short

Portales was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Artesia Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Artesia this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-0 on October 7th.

Portales' goal came courtesy of Abigail Nunez, who's now up to two this season.

Portales' loss dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Artesia, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-3.

Portales does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Artesia, they have already played their next contest, a 1-1 victory against Goddard on the 28th.
