Soccer Game Preview: Woodstock vs. Prairie Ridge

The Woodstock Blue Streaks will venture away from home to challenge the Prairie Ridge Wolves at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Woodstock's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They put the hurt on Westminster Christian with a sharp 6-0 victory.

Meanwhile, Prairie Ridge beat Larkin 2-0 on Thursday.

Ava Gertz was the driving force of Wolves' attack as she scored both of Wolves' goals, bringing her season total up to two goals.

Woodstock now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Prairie Ridge, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-1-1.

Everything went Woodstock's way against Prairie Ridge in their previous meeting back in April of 2023, as Woodstock made off with a 5-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Blue Streaks since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
