They blew past the Fort Dorchester Patriots, posting a 68-31 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 48-43 back in January.

James Island had a senior duo take command as Parker Renault dropped a double-double with 16 points and 11 boards and Gavin Ward went 6-for-9 to rack up 16 points along with eight rebounds and five assists. Ward also set a new season-high mark in field goal percentage with 67%. Jay Morris was another key player, going 5-for-12 on his way to 11 points and seven rebounds.

James Island was working as a unit and finished the game with 21 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

When it comes to explaining why Fort Dorchester lost, don't look at Maricious Dawson. Despite the final result, he went 6-for-15 en route to 16 points and five boards. Another player making a difference was Jaden Polite, who posted seven points.

James Island's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-7. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.0 points over those games. As for Fort Dorchester, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 8-15 record this season.
