Cuthbertson hadn't done well against Marvin Ridge recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Cuthbertson Cavaliers walked away with a 67-57 victory over the Marvin Ridge Mavericks. This was a revenge game for the Cavaliers: when they faced off against the Mavericks last Wednesday, they had to take a 71-53 defeat.

Despite the loss, Marvin Ridge still got an impressive performance from Brady Dunn, who went 6-for-10 from beyond the arc en route to 27 points. Another player making a difference was Henry Smith, who posted ten points and six boards.

Cuthbertson's win bumped their record up to 14-9. As for Marvin Ridge, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-14.

Looking ahead, Cuthbertson will face off against Weddington at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Weddington knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Cuthbertson likes a good challenge. Marvin Ridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
