Softball Recap: Bronson Eagles vs. Dunnellon Tigers

Bronson can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent match on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 13-3 margin over the Dunnellon Tigers. The win was just what Bronson needed coming off of an 8-1 defeat in their prior game.

Julianne Lampton spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on three hits and racked up seven Ks.

On the hitting side, Austine Howard was a standout: she scored four runs and stole a base while going 3-for-5. The team also got some help courtesy of Brystal Howard, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-5.

On Dunnellon's side, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Abigail Beville, who scored a run while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Even though they lost, Dunnellon didn't let batters stay on the plate for long and finished the game with 11 strikeouts. That's the most strikeouts they've managed all season.

Bronson now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Dunnellon, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-11.

Bronson will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Bell at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Dunnellon, they will head out on the road to take on Citrus at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
