Baseball Recap: Waterville-Elysian-Morristown Comes Up Short

Waterville-Elysian-Morristown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 10-9 heartbreaker at the hands of the Triton Cobras. The Buccaneers were not able to make up for their loss to the Cobras from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Brenden Snesrud made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. That double was his first of the season.

Waterville-Elysian-Morristown's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Triton, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

When Waterville-Elysian-Morristown and Triton next hit the field, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. The Buccaneers will try to stop Sibley East's three-game winning streak when they meet at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Triton will square off against Spectrum and their three-game winning streak at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
