Football Recap: St. David Tigers vs. Ray Bearcats
St. David put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They claimed a resounding 65-0 win over the Ray Bearcats at home. Fans of the Tigers have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ point.
Cedar Haynie had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 125 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 carries. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rushing yards. Chase Pacheco was another key back, rushing for 123 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries.
He was just one part of a punishing run game: St. David was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 320 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 176 rushing yards in three consecutive contests.
St. David's defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged four passes before it was all said and done. Pacheco led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by himself.
