Basketball Recap: Saturday's Victory Is Oakland-Craig's Ninth in Last Ten Outings

Oakland-Craig had won three straight home games and Braylon Anderson did his part to make it four on Saturday. Everything went the Oakland-Craig Knights' way against the Madison Dragons as the Oakland-Craig Knights made off with a 58-38 win thanks in part to Anderson, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 17 boards. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games he's played.

Another player making a difference was Preston Rost, who posted nine points. Those nine points gave him a new career-high.

Madison's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Manuel Illas, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and ten rebounds. Tristan Schroeder also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.

Oakland-Craig has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.3 points per game. As for Madison, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-11.

When Oakland-Craig and Madison next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Oakland-Craig will challenge Howells-Dodge and their three-game winning streak at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Oakland-Craig is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.8 points per game this season. Similarly, Madison will try to stop West Point-Beemer's four-game winning streak when the meet at 7:00 p.m. on February 11th.
