While Westlake put up plenty of runs on Saturday, the same can't be said for Weber. The Thunder put the hurt on the Warriors with a sharp 15-0 win. The Thunder might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matches by seven runs or more this season.
Alli Jeppson looked comfortable as she pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, she posted two strikeouts, the most she's had since back in March.
At the plate, Westlake got a massive performance out of Claire DuBois, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Pead, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and one double.
Westlake always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .643. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Weber only posted an OBP of .100.
The victory made it two in a row for Westlake and bumps their season record up to 13-4. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.5 runs over those games. As for Weber, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-12.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Westlake will head out to take on Skyridge at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Weber, they will venture away from home to face off against Syracuse at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
