Recap: Shaker Bison vs. Kingston Tigers
The Shaker Bison scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They put the hurt on Kingston with a sharp 67-44 victory. Shaker might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won three matchups by 22 points or more this season.
Peyton Hoblock was her usual excellent self, scoring 25 points along with eight rebounds. Those 25 points set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayla Geter, who scored 17 points along with five assists.
The victory was the third in a row for Shaker, bringing their record for this year to 6-2. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 20.67 points. As for Kingston, their loss ended an 11-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-1.
Shaker's road trip will continue as they head out to face Hanover at 12:30 p.m. on December 27th. Kingston will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Valley Central at 6:30 p.m. on January 2, 2024. Valley Central will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New York Rankings (they are ranked 106th, while Kingston is ranked 33rd).
