Softball Recap: Kingsburg's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Kingsburg not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 26, 2024. Everything went their way against the Immanuel Eagles as they made off with a 12-2 win. The victory was nothing new for the Vikings as they're now sitting on three straight.

Alyanna 'Yaya' Gonzales made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in February.

In other batting news, Reygan Jones was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and four RBI. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Parker Woods, who scored two runs and stole two bases.

Kingsburg hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in three consecutive games.

Kingsburg picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 7-8. As for Immanuel, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 10-4-2.

Looking ahead, Kingsburg will welcome Hanford West at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Huskies will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Vikings surely won't give up without a fight. As for Immanuel, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 5-2 defeat against Chowchilla on the 9th.
