Baseball Recap: Male Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Male, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They walked away with an 8-3 win over the Anderson County Bearcats on Saturday. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Bearcats recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Drew Braun looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, he posted two strikeouts, the most he's had since back in May of 2024.

On the hitting side, Male got a big performance out of Kellen Goodman, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI. That's the most hits Goodman has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Cameron Levey, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Male now has a winning record of 12-11. As for Anderson County, their loss was their eighth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-12.

Looking ahead, Male will take on Jeffersonville at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Anderson County, they will challenge Southern at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
