Basketball Recap: Tintic Comes Up Short

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Tintic couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They lost 53-32 to the Panguitch Bobcats on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Miners have suffered since February 9, 2024.

Daxton Miller continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Panguitch, dropping a double-double with 16 points and 15 rebounds. Miller is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last eight games he's played. Another player making a difference was Remme Chappell, who posted 11 points along with six rebounds and four blocks.

Tintic's defeat dropped their record down to 16-8. As for Panguitch, the win (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 23-3.
