Bradshaw Mountain comes up short despite Mason Hunt's strong performance

Recap: Bradshaw Mountain Bears vs. Prescott Badgers

It was a good run, but the Bradshaw Mountain Bears unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 59-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of Prescott. While losing is never fun, Bradshaw Mountain can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 96th, while the Badgers are ranked 32nd).

Despite the loss, Bradshaw Mountain still got an impressive performance from Mason Hunt, who scored 27 points along with three steals. Hunt is crushing the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Preston Ranniker, who scored eight points.

Uriah Tenette continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Prescott, scoring 26 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. That makes it six consecutive games in which Tenette has scored at least a third of Prescott's points. Cooper Magnett was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.

Bradshaw Mountain's loss dropped their record down to 15-7. As for Prescott, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-3 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bradshaw Mountain won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th. One thing working in Flagstaff's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four matches.
