After a string of four wins, Red Mesa's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 57-49 to the Dishchii'bikoh Wildcats. The Redskins were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2016.

Red Mesa's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jacoby Begaye, who posted 17 points and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Darin John, who scored six points and 13 rebounds.

Even though they lost, Red Mesa smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 13 offensive boards in six consecutive games.

Red Mesa's defeat dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Dishchii'bikoh, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season.

Red Mesa will venture away from home to square off against El Capitan at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Dishchii'bikoh, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 79-61 win against St. Michael on the 23rd.
