Football Recap: Navarre Comes Up Short at Home Against Pensacola Catholic + How To Watch

Navarre unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They received a blow on Friday as they fell 42-27 to the Pensacola Catholic Crusaders. The Raiders have struggled against the Crusaders recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Despite the loss, Navarre still got an impressive performance from Brody Powers, who picked up 54 receiving yards and two scores.

Even if they lost, Navarre's defensive line still kept up the pressure with four sacks. In that department, Bryce Wheeler was the leader with two.

Pensacola Catholic was led to victory by Caden Jasso and Ethan Crandall. Jasso picked up 126 receiving yards and four TDs, while Crandall rushed for 101 yards and one touchdown on only seven carries. Jasso's longest reception was for an impressive 50 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per catch total.

Navarre wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 42-0 defeat against Choctawhatchee on the 29th. As for Pensacola Catholic, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 41-20 loss against Pace on the 29th.
