Volleyball Recap: Portage Indians vs. Hanover Central Wildcats
Portage was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Hanover Central Wildcats. The Indians were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.
Portage's offense was headlined by Emma Mcwilliams and Olivia Riffle, who picked up five kills apiece. They got some help from Ella Klakoski and her 17 assists. Ainsley Cline and Julianne Imes kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.
Portage now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Hanover Central, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
