Baseball Recap: Taft Victorious

Taft's tournament run continued when they took on Hidalgo on Friday. The Taft Raiders had just enough and edged out the Hidalgo Pirates 6-4.

LOGAN LISHERNESS was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one triple and two RBI. CHRIS ARRIAGA was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

The win got Taft back to even at 3-3. As for Hidalgo, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-3.

Taft wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 3-1 defeat against Vela on the 28th. As for Hidalgo, they are taking a road trip to square off against Robstown at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
