Basketball Recap: Travis Takes a Loss

If Travis was feeling good fresh off their 68-44 takedown of New Braunfels Thunder last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Travis Rebels lost to the Cedar Park Timberwolves on the road by a 71-52 margin on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Rebels of the 64-43 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2019.

Travis has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.5 points per game. As for Cedar Park, they moved to 7-11 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Coincidentally, Travis and Cedar Park will both be playing Pettus the next time they take the court. Cedar Park will head out to face Pettus at 4:10 p.m. on Friday, while Travis will play them later in the day, at 12:10 p.m.
