Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Edwardsville walked away with it. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Granite City Warriors a 12-0 shutout on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won 17 matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Edwardsville is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-10 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Granite City, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-22.
