Volleyball Recap: Battle Has No Trouble Against Hickman

Battle hadn't done well against Hickman recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Spartans blew past the Kewpies 3-0. That three set margin sets a new team best for the Spartans this season.

Ada Grzella-Skibiski paced Battle's offense, picking up 13 kills. Grzella-Skibiski got some help from Tristn Zellner-Evers and her 15 assists. Olivia Marriott controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Battle now has a winning record of 16-15-2. As for Hickman, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-16-3 record this season.

Battle wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Grain Valley on the 25th. Hickman does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
