The Newton Eagles are taking a road trip to square off against the Richland County Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Newton has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with four straight defeats, while Richland County will come in with four straight wins.

Newton's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Richland County, their victory bumped their record up to 4-0.

Newton was able to grind out a solid win over Richland County in their previous matchup back in September of 2023, winning 28-20. The rematch might be a little tougher for Newton since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
