Volleyball Recap: Plainfield Central Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Plainfield Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lockport Porters. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-16.

Plainfield Central's offense was headlined by Brooke Mouw and Jordan Siegmund, who picked up four kills apiece. They got some help from Olivia Howard and her five assists. Alyssa Ignasak and Isabella Ricketts kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Lockport found their leader in sophomore Emma Consigny, who had seven digs and two aces. Josephine Baranowski also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Plainfield Central's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Lockport, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-2 record this season.

Plainfield Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against Oswego on the 18th. As for Lockport, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Joliet West on the 17th.
