Softball Recap: Geneva Eagles vs. West Geauga Wolverines
Geneva came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 21-10 to the West Geauga Wolverines. The Eagles have struggled against the Wolverines recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.
Cora Brace and Savannah Burton did some serious damage despite the final result: Brace went 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI, while Burton went 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Kailyn Cerjan, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
Geneva's loss dropped their record down to 9-11. As for West Geauga, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-10 record this season.

The Eagles will take on Edgewood at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank disadvantage (281 vs. 103). Meanwhile, West Geauga (ranked 247th) will meet Walsh Jesuit (ranked fourth) at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
