Baseball Recap: Phoenix Comes Up Short

Phoenix made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Henley, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Pirates fell just short of the Hornets by a score of 4-2 on Saturday. The loss continues a trend for the Pirates in their meetings with the Hornets: they've now lost nine in a row.

Phoenix's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Henley, they pushed their record up to 9-2-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

While Phoenix had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
