Volleyball Recap: Mountain View Comes Up Short

Mountain View was the 3-1 winner over Provo when they last played one another back in March, but their luck changed this time around. The Bruins fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. While the Bruins didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Bulldogs 25-14 in the first set.

Mountain View actually scored more points across those five sets (102-97), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 14-25, 18-25, 25-19, 25-21, 15-12.

Mountain View is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-12. As for Provo, they moved to 6-11 with that win, which also ended their eight-game losing streak.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Mountain View is set to challenge their familiar foe Payson at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Provo will face off against rival Orem at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
