Softball Recap: Telstar Rebels vs. Forest Hills Tigers
Eight must be Telstar's lucky number: they beat Forest Hills with that score not once but twice on Tuesday. The Rebels beat the Tigers by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 8-7. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 8-7 on Tuesday.
The team relied heavily on Vivienne Charette, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in May of 2024. Lauren Pelletier was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
Telstar has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for Forest Hills, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-9.
