Recap: Maple Mountain Golden Eagles vs. Viewmont Vikings
The Maple Mountain Golden Eagles fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They were the clear victor by a 35-13 margin over Viewmont.
Banks Jackson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 136 yards on only seven carries, while also throwing for 113 yards and two touchdowns. Jackson was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 51 yards. Another player making a difference was Nic Hofheins, who rushed for 92 yards and two touchdowns.
Maple Mountain now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Viewmont, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.
Maple Mountain will face off against Box Elder at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Utah (Box Elder is ranked 20th, while Maple Mountain is ranked 33rd). Viewmont does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
