Basketball Recap: Sandhills Valley Mavericks vs. Twin Loup Wolves

Sandhills Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 26th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost to the Twin Loup Wolves at home by a 53-37 margin. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mavericks of the 45-18 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.

Despite the loss, Sandhills Valley still got an impressive performance from Avery Weems, who posted 14 points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Rhayana Bruns, who earned five points.

As for Twin Loup, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 57-30 defeat against Riverside on the 21st.
