Volleyball Recap: Lyle/Pacelli Extends Winning Streak to Three

Lyle/Pacelli had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Wabasha-Kellogg Falcons. This was payback for the Athletics, who suffered a 2-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

Marlie Klankowski paced Lyle/Pacelli's offense, picking up nine kills. Klankowski got some help from Autumn Drennan and her 23 assists. Drennan also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Jacey Bednar, racking up three apiece.

Lyle/Pacelli now has a winning record of 3-2.

Lyle/Pacelli has already played their next game (against Randolph), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Wabasha-Kellogg, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Plainview-Elgin-Millville on the 23rd.
