Basketball Preview: Oklahoma School for the Deaf Bison vs. Mill Creek Bullfrogs
Oklahoma School for the Deaf has been on the road for three straight, but on Monday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Mill Creek Bullfrogs at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. Oklahoma School for the Deaf knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past five matchups -- so hopefully the Bullfrogs like a good challenge.
Oklahoma School for the Deaf stacked a 16th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Saturday. They breezed by New Mexico School for the Deaf on the road to the tune of 71-34. Oklahoma School for the Deaf's offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.
Oklahoma School for the Deaf got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was RyJan Reininger out in front who shot 4-for-8 from deep and dropped a double-double on 28 points and 14 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Landen Fewel, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 steals.
Meanwhile, Mill Creek strolled past the Warriors with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 42-23.
Oklahoma School for the Deaf has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 games, which provided a nice bump to their 22-3 record this season. As for Mill Creek, their victory bumped their record up to 15-9.
Oklahoma School for the Deaf was dealt a bruising 55-28 defeat at the hands of the Bullfrogs when the teams last played back in January of 2023. The game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Oklahoma School for the Deaf was down 42-15.
