Waterloo West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Des Moines North Polar Bears. If Waterloo West were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to Des Moines North when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Waterloo West's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10-1. As for Des Moines North, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-3.
