Volleyball Recap: New Haven's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

New Haven had to endure a five-match losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Bourbon War Hawks on Monday.

New Haven walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the fourth set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 12-25, 25-21, 25-14.

New Haven found their leader in sophomore Hannah Knight, who had six digs and four aces.

New Haven was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their ace total in three consecutive contests.

New Haven's win bumped their record up to 5-17-2. As for Bourbon, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-10-1 record this season.

New Haven wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against St. James on the 7th. As for Bourbon, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Belle on the 7th.
